The project of Olympic stadium in London

The official presentation of the project of stadium took place in London for years Olympiad of 2012. The Olympic arena will be placed in area stratford in the east of the British capital.

In 2012 stadium capacity in 80 thousand person becomes a place of carrying out of opening ceremonies and closings Olympic and paralimpic games, and also a platform for competitions of athletes. After end of Olympiad the stadium is planned to alter under sports needs of local residents (presumably, it will be transferred to one of the London football clubs). Then it will contain 25 thousand spectators, other places will be simply dismantled.

Works on construction of new stadium will begin in April, 2008. The construction of sports object, by calculations of organizers of games, will manage in 496 million pounds sterling. Let's remind, that hhh years Olympic games will pass in London from July, 27th till August, 12th, 2012.
